Leadership Summit

Leadership Summit: Working with Children

February 2026

Leadership Summit: Working with Children is a two-week art program for children with autism and Down syndrome, led by young volunteers. The project works in two stages. During the first week, volunteers meet the children, learn how to lead a creative session, and try simple art techniques together with them — painting, collage, and free drawing — using art as a bridge for connection and expression. During the second week, the same group comes back to finish the works they started, and the sessions end with a small exhibition for families, where every child presents their own piece. Dictionary of Emotions at YARAT Centre

October 2026

An art project exploring how complex emotions can be communicated visually. Ten people were interviewed about a story or feeling they found difficult to express in words. Each story was sketched and turned into an original painting. The collection of ten paintings was exhibited at YARAT, where visitors were invited to explain what they saw in each painting and whether it matched the feeling it was meant to express. The project explored how personal experience, artistic expression, and individual perception relate to each other. YARAT provided a stamped and signed confirmation of the exhibition.
